Tickets are on sale now at Valley Music Center for: Idlewheel featuring YOUTUBE sensation Mree Hsiao, Jim Breuer "The Heavy Metal Man" and Barry McGuire at The Studio of Long Valley.
Come out for great music while supporting the non-profit group, Tri-County Music and Arts (aka TRICMA). TRICMA has been working hard to provide members with community music ensembles and live entertainment since this past August… and things are starting to heat up. Their community groups have performed at Hackettstown Community Day, Heath Village as well as at Warren County Community College and will be restarting rehearsals this January for their Jazz Band, Fiddle Club, String Orchestra and Beginning Band.
In order to help support these groups, Dave White and George Moran of TRICMA have been booking shows in The Studio of Long Valley to help offset the cost of renting the rehearsal space. 2011 will be a year of great shows with acts like: Jim Breuer's "Heavy Metal Man", Idlewheel, Barry McGuire and several other acts from around the region. Seating is limited for all shows, but these three shows in particular are expected to be "standing room only". This is why TRICMA will be selling tickets in advance at Valley Music Center in Long Valley, NJ.

Tri-County Music and Arts Announces August Concert Series

Whether you like country, jazz, rock or folk music, Tri-County Music and Arts of Northwest New Jersey has something for you. This new non-profit organization has put together an August Concert Series that is sure to please every one of all ages and tastes. Tri-County Music and Arts commonly referred to as "Tricma" is now up and running as of June 28th, 2010 and has created a studio that is designed to function as both a rehearsal space, as well as an intimate setting for some great live music. The stage area is large enough to fit an 8-piece band, but is very well suited for the more intimate sounds that one might associate with the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, where singers and songwriters meet and play in small groups for a crowd of about 100 people. This new space is called "The Studio of Long Valley."
Tricma has put together four consecutive weekends of live entertainment for people of all tastes culminating in a wonderful VIP Fireworks Party on the 28th of August. Anyone who has attended the fireworks celebration in Long Valley, NJ knows that getting in and out of the parking area is somewhat of a nightmare, so Tricma has a solution...listen to some great live music in the new air-conditioned space and then step out onto our rear deck and enjoy the fireworks while listening to some great tunes from our own DJ, Dave White.
Here is the rundown of acts:

Tri-County Music and Arts Now Up and Running

Check out our newest venture! We have created a non-profit organization called "Tri-County Music and Arts" that will be the catalyst to drive home the importance of music for all and to bring the community together through the performing arts.
We have just taken over the space next door for this new endeavor. We are currently remodeling the old tile studio and converting it into an event venue for our summer sessions and events/concerts. We will have a stage, full range sound system, lighting and seating for 90.

Long Valley Arts and Valley Music Center in Long Valley, NJ have teamed up to offer our first sessions for little tykes called: Family Music Time. This is an 8 week-weekly 45 minute session that will be held at the Long Valley Arts Center - 214 West Mill Road, Long Valley.
Family Music Time is a fun-filled way to nurture your child’s innate musical potential.
Family Music Time is a singing, laughing, giggling, jiggling, clapping, dancing, bouncing, fun-filled experience for infants and children (ages 0-4 years). This is the age when your child’s innate music potential is actively developing. With this Valley Music Center program, parents can help bring out a child’s natural curiosity about music in a playful, encouraging environment.
You and your child will sing along to a variety of original, traditional and multi-cultural musical selections.
Help develop your child’s motor skills through dancing, clapping and bouncing.
Experience the touch and feel of rhythm instruments specifically designed for tiny hands.
Parent-child bonding that is fun and meaningful.
Family Music Time sessions will start on Wednesday May 6th and will conclude on June 24th. The total cost for this 8-week session is $130/per child ($75 for each additional child) and will include materials and a CD for home/car use to reinforce what is covered during your interactive and fun-filled class.
Sessions will be 45 minutes in length at either 9:45 or 10:45 am weekly on Wednesday Mornings.
